Due to their unique physicochemical properties, Gold Nanoparticles enable highly sensitive and selective detection of biological analytes, which makes them ideal biosensing element for applications in diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and medical research.

Two critical factors that significantly enhance the performance of Gold Nanoparticles in biosensing are monodispersity and purity. Monodispersity ensures consistent optical and electronic properties, leading to reproducible signal responses and improved sensitivity in detecting target analytes. This uniformity minimizes variations in surface plasmon resonance behavior, enabling precise and reliable measurements. Similarly, purity — the absence of contaminants or unwanted byproducts — prevents interference in functionalization processes and reduces non-specific interactions, thereby increasing the accuracy and specificity of the biosensors.

NanoBrand Gold Nano-Spheres offer both these advantages for the use as biosensors in various quick-tests, such as in pregnancy tests or disease detection kits, which are also called Lateral Flow Assays (LFAs). Our nanoparticles are characterized by spherical form and absence of sharp edges and odd shapes, thus offering an ideal surface for modification. The use of monodisperse gold nanoparticles in LFAs leads to stronger, more reliable signals, better sensitivity and improved consistency, making them a preferred choice for high-performance diagnostic applications. For these applications, we offer gold nanoparticles in most commonly used sizes, provided at two concentrations OD=20 and OD=50.

To be easily adaptable to various applications, we offer ‘’Lateral-Flow-Easy’’ nanoparticles both with citrate surface and also having PEG5000-carboxylate surface coating. Accordingly, our citrate-coated gold nano-spheres can be used when an easy replacement of the surface coating by passive adsorption is required, and the carboxylated surface can be used for direct conjugation of the antibodies, providing gold nanoparticles with specific recognition properties.
